Info/issue: Driver is needed for a Summa Cutter on Mac operating system

Modified on Wed, 19 Dec 2018 at 10:45 AM

Introduction MacSign Cut

If your plotter is connected to a Mac, you can find the device driver for the cutter in the cutting software.

We do not have Mac drivers for older devices.

MacSign Cut is cutting software that could be used to drive the Summa cutter on Mac OS.

MacSign Cut is not a program to make designs; it is an intelligent driver that can send data to the cutter. It translates the design you made into machine language.

MacSign has a full version with which you can design. However you will need to buy an upgrade for this.

MacSign Cut is provided by the company Softeam (

When your machine was built between November 2004 - June 2005, then a hardware dongle was delivered with the unit.

When unit was built after June 2005, no dongle is needed.
