S Class 1 - Conversion Kit: How can I change the OPOS parameters on the machine?

Modified on Fri, 05 Apr 2024 at 07:05 PM

Introduction

When the customer would use very old software to drive the Summa S Class 1 cutter for print and cut jobs, then it would be possible the software can not send the OPOS parameters to the machine.

In this case you will have to set the OPOS parameters (Marker distance X/Y-direction, Marker size X/Y-direction and Marker Count) with Summa Cutter Control 4 (old version of Summa Cutter Control).

Remark all software from the last 10 years that can output "Print & Cut" (OPOS) data will send in the header of the file the OPOS parameters. So no need to manually set the OPOS parameters on the machine.

Solution

Use the following procedure to set the OPOS paramaters manually:

  1. Make sure machine is "online"
  2. Start Summa Cutter Control 4 (Legacy version of Summa Cutter Control, part of Summa Cutter Tools installer) and go to "Action List - Tool Properties"
  3. Select "Media Alignment Settings" and set the OPOS values - Confirm by "Apply"
  4. Output the job
