F Series - What is the maximum thickness that can be routed

Modified on Mon, 15 May 2023 at 10:21 PM

Due to mechanical limitations (free space between the module and table), the maximum routing depth is limited to 25 mm.

The recommended maximum milling depth (image: 2) is 1.2 times the router bit diameter (image: 1)

Multiple passes can be used for thicker material

To keep the table in optimal shape, it is required to use an extra protection mat whilst routing.

The router will inevitably come into contact with the protective mat, causing it to wear out over time and eventually need replacement.

For this reason, Summa offers a cost-effective protection mat.

The maximum clearance under the router module (with the router mat mounted) is 30mm.
