The file SUMMA F-SERIES CAM.ECD in the folder "C:\Program Files (x86) \Summa\SummaFlex Pro \Cutter" is used to store the print and cut offset and the custom settings for the different tools (basic material library).

Before uninstall of SummaFlex

Before you start with a clean installation we do advise to make first a copy (backup) of the complete SummaFlex folder (C:\Program Files (x86) \Summa\SummaFlex Pro) to a backup directory.

Clean installation of SummaFlex

To make a clean install proceed as follows:

  • Press "Windows-key" + "R", the “Run” window will open
  • Enter: “appwiz.cpl”, Windows “Programs and Features” window will open:
  • Right click “SummaFlex Pro” and select “Uninstall”
  • Follow the instructions on the screen
  • Go to windows explorer and delete the original SummaFlex Pro folder:
  • C:\Program Files (x86)\Summa\SummaFlex Pro:

Merge an old driver with new driver

To merge the old ECD driver file from you backup directory to the new installation proceed as follows:

  • Close SummaFlex
  • Copy the "Old SUMMA F-SERIES CAM.ECD" from your backup directory in the new folder "C:\Program Files (x86) \Summa\SummaFlex Pro \Cutter"
  • Start the "Driver update tool" (DrvUpd.exe) from the "C:\Program Files (x86)\Summa\SummaFlex Pro\Tools" folder
