1. Clean Pinch Rollers After Every Roll

Recommendation:
Clean the pinch rollers after each completed roll.

Why it matters:
Adhesive residue from DTF materials can accumulate on the pinch rollers. Over time, this buildup can affect media tracking, feeding accuracy, and overall cutting performance.

Best Practice:

  • Inspect pinch rollers at the end of every roll.
  • Remove any visible glue residue before loading new media.
  • Include grid roller cleaning as part of your standard operating procedure.

2. Position OPOS Marks Close to the Print

Recommendation:
Place OPOS marks as close as possible to the printed image. With a minimal of 25mm distance from the cutpath

Why it matters:
Keeping the marks close to the print provides better media support during the cutting process. Since internal pinch rollers should not run over printed areas, proper mark placement helps maintain media stability.


3. Print White Under Barcodes and Registration Marks

Recommendation:
Print a white layer underneath all barcodes and OPOS marks.

Why it matters:
A white backing improves the contrast between the marks and the media, resulting in more reliable barcode and registration mark detection.

Best Practice:

  • Apply a white underlay beneath all barcodes.
  • Apply a white underlay beneath all OPOS marks.
  • Validate readability before starting large production jobs by calibrating the opos sensor

4. Maintain a Minimum 5 mm Cut Path Offset

Recommendation:
Ensure the cut path is positioned at least 5 mm away from the printed image.

Why it matters:
The wheels on the nocepiece of the tangential tool run next to the blade. If the wheels contact the the print, they can cause delaminate the DTF print.

Best Practice:

  • Maintain a minimum 5 mm safety offset between the print and cut path.
  • Verify offsets during artwork preparation.

5. Configure FlexCut Paneling to 100 mm

Recommendation:
Set FlexCut paneling to 100 mm.

Why it matters:
This setting helps improve stability and consistency during through-cut operations while reducing stress on the material.

Configuration Setting:

  • FlexCut Paneling: 100 mm

6. Configure Standard Paneling to 300 mm

Recommendation:
Set Normal Paneling to 300 mm.

Why it matters:
Using the recommended panel size improves media handling and cutting efficiency.

Configuration Setting:

  • Normal Paneling: 300 mm

7. Enable Grid Cut in GoSign

Recommendation:
Activate Grid Cut within the through-cut method settings in GoSign.

Why it matters:
Grid Cut helps reduce material stress and prevents lifting or movement during cutting, resulting in cleaner and more accurate output.
