SummaCut: When an OPOS job is sent to the machine it displays the message "SET TOOL BELOW BARCODE" or "OPOS BARCODE IS BLOCKED. PLEASE VISIT SUMMA WEBSITE TO GET ACTIVATION KEY..."

In this case the cutter is setup for "Barcode workflow". 

To cancel this "barcode workflow" you will have to set the "Alignment mode" to OPOS X

Please set the "Alignment mode to OPOS X, now it probably is set to "OPOS Barcode".

This can be done with Summa Cutter Control in the User Menu:

Follow below procedure to change the "Alignment Mode":

  • Press "Menu"
    ‘KNIFE PRESSURE’ will appear on the LCD.
  • Press "arrow up"
    ‘SYSTEM SETUP’ will appear on the LCD.
  • Press "Enter"
    ‘ACTIONS’ will appear on the LCD.
  • Use "arrow up/down" to scroll through the menu until ‘CONFIGURATION’ is reached.
  • Press "Enter"
    ‘IP CONFIG’ or ‘LANGUAGE’ will appear on the LCD, depending on cutter model.
  • Press "arrow up".
    ‘ALIGNMENT MODE’ will appear on the LCD.
  • Press "Enter"
    ‘*OPOS BARCODE’ will appear on the LCD.
  • Press "arrow left/right" to change this value until ‘OPOS X’ or ‘OPOS XY’ is displayed.
  • Press "Enter"
    ‘*OPOS X’ or ‘*OPOS XY’ will appear on the LCD.
  • Press "Exit" to exit twice to return to normal operations.

Important Remark:

When you press the "TEST" button (2) when the unit is in the "home screen" (1) it will initiate the "Barcode workflow". The machine will ask you to put the tool under the barcode.

In other words the "TEST" button on the unit keypad is a shortcut to initiate the barcode workflow.
